This policy explains how akthost.com ("we", "us"), part of the AkolagTech family, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this site or interact with our contact form, custom AI-build request form, or AI chat assistant.

Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways:

Contact and custom-build forms. When you submit our contact form or custom AI-build request form, we collect your name, work email, company (optional), phone number (optional), the topic you're interested in, and your message. Submitting requires checking a consent box; your details are sent to our CRM (BillCrop LeadFlow) so a real person can follow up.

Hosting, email, and domain orders. If you order web hosting, email hosting, or a domain, that order and any billing/account details are handled directly by our WHMCS storefront at akthost.com — a separate, unchanged system with its own account and billing records — not by this marketing site.

AI chat assistant. If you use the AK Assistant chat widget, the text you type is sent to our AI proxy so it can generate a reply. Chat content is not stored in your browser, in cookies, or in local storage — it is kept in memory only for that browsing session and clears on reload.

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site.

Advertising data. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure our ad campaigns — it records page views and, when you successfully submit our contact or custom-build form, a "Lead" conversion event.

How we use it

To respond to your inquiry, provide our services, keep the site secure, understand and improve how the site performs, and measure our advertising. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own use.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the site and business: Google (Analytics), Meta Platforms (Pixel), and BillCrop LeadFlow, our own lead-management CRM, for contact/build-request submissions. Hosting, email, and domain orders are processed by our WHMCS storefront and its registrar/payment partners. We otherwise share information only where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Lawful basis for processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on consent (the contact/build-request forms and analytics/advertising cookies) and legitimate interest (basic site security and understanding aggregate site performance). You can object to legitimate-interest processing at any time — see below.

Retention

We keep contact and build-request submissions as long as needed to respond and maintain business records, then delete or anonymize them. Analytics/advertising data follows the standard retention windows set by Google Analytics and Meta Pixel.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, request a copy in a portable format, and object to processing based on legitimate interest — email us at the address below. You can also:

- Change your cookie choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
- Opt out of Google Analytics via Google's opt-out add-on.
- Manage Meta ad data in your Meta Ad Preferences.

International operations

AkolagTech operates from the United States and, through Akolag Technology Limited, our Nigeria entity, from Nigeria. Information you submit may be processed by our team or service providers in either location.
